A Personal Message from Marcin
Dear Fellow Condo Owners and Fellow Investors,
Like many of you, I've been personally affected by the Simple Investor situation.
Over the past six weeks, I've dedicated an enormous amount of my time, energy, and personal resources to helping our community navigate this crisis.
When everything began unfolding, I recognized that investors needed more than occasional updates.
They needed organization, communication, access to professionals, and practical tools to help them regain control of their investments.
Rather than wait for someone else to build those resources, I decided to do something about it.
With the support of my company, AI Canadian Solutions, and my development team, I created the coalition website and the tools many of you have been using.
We've helped connect condominium owners with tenants, identify property management resources, organize investor information, coordinate communications, and facilitate discussions about potential recovery opportunities.
We've also helped bring investors together to explore legal representation and other solutions.
Until now, I've done this without asking coalition members for financial support.
What Many People Don't Realize
Behind this initiative, there is more than my personal time.
I've also committed my company's employees, development resources, technology, and operating budget to building and maintaining the coalition platform.
There are ongoing costs associated with hosting the website, maintaining secure databases, storing information, operating communications systems, developing new tools, and keeping everything running.
These are real expenses that my company and I have been covering.
I'm also a father, a business owner, and an investor experiencing many of the same financial challenges as the people I'm helping.
I'm incredibly grateful for the hundreds of messages of appreciation I've received.
But continuing this work requires a sustainable way to cover both the operating costs and the time involved.
Our Next Steps
Many of you have already enrolled in the workshops we're working to organize. The next step is finding the right professionals to help address the questions and challenges our investors are facing.
Behind the scenes, I'm making countless phone calls, securing meetings with lawyers, tax accountants, mortgage brokers, and property management companies, and asking them to commit their time and expertise to hosting practical workshops for our community.
Finding the right people, explaining our situation, following up, and coordinating meetings and workshop availability all take countless hours. Much of that work happens before there's a workshop to attend or an update to share.
Many investors will also need to refinance or sell their properties. We're working to identify the right professionals and practical ways to help, so we can connect many investors with relevant assistance quickly and in a coordinated way. Building that capacity takes outreach, careful coordination, and ongoing follow-through.
Over the next 60 days, my focus is on turning those conversations into useful workshops and connections that help investors understand their legal options, tax questions, financing possibilities, and property management needs. Your support will help sustain the time and coordination required to move that work forward.
My Request
I'm asking those who are financially able to consider making a voluntary contribution of:
Two separate monthly payments. No automatic charges.
Your support will help me continue coordinating recovery efforts, maintaining our technology, organizing workshops, and connecting investors with resources and professionals.
I understand that many investors are already facing extraordinary financial pressure.
There is absolutely no obligation to contribute. Nobody will lose access to the coalition because they cannot afford to help.
If this initiative has helped you, or if you believe the work we're doing deserves to continue, I would sincerely appreciate your support.
Thank you for your trust and encouragement.
